These sites are for online business news resources.  Many comprehensive and "gateway" news websites also include components for business news.


Business and Industry News

•  Maintained by Isaac Clark, Louisiana State University Libraries
•  Links to a wide variety of sites featuring business and industry news, including national/state/local business news, international business news, industry news, business periodicals, public policy
•  "Economic & Corporate Research Reports" links to sites for worldwide business analysis/trends from a variety of resources for both governments and the private sector
•  Brief annotations accompany all links
•  Excellent; while not comprehensive, this webpage provides a well-selected assortment of useful and timely links; research reports are especially useful


Business Daily Review (BDR)

•  Launched in February 2001, BDR provided online business news and commentary on domestic and international levels; included an extensive archive
•  Ceased being maintained since August 2003; site and its contents currently for sale
•  This is still an excellent resource, however, since it still links to 140 active websites for online newspapers, media and business publications

•  Although this site is not comprehensive, links are well-chosen (especially for industries); great place for beginning research on business news

•  Excellent; one of the best online resources for current business news


CEO Express

•  "Designed to be the executive's interface to the Internet," this site provides "one-stop shopping" for a variety of business news (domestic and international), financial markets, industry information, even links for tracking package delivery
•  Most of the links are freely available; membership (for a modest cost) allows full entry to all of the site
•  Also links to sites for company research, federal agencies, statistics, small business, and lifestyle sites (sports, leisure, travel, general reference)
•  Most of the links are freely available; membership in CEO Express Select (for a modest fee) allows members to create customized pages
•  Searchable
•  Complements "Wall Street Executive Library"
•  Excellent; this site manages to pack a lot of the best current business data/information into one, easy-to-navigate pageglobal


globalEDGE: Resource Desk: Global Resources: News & Periodicals

•  Created and maintained by the Michigan State University Center for International Business & Research (MSU-CIBER), globalEdge is one of most outstanding resources for international business
•  "Global News" links to 37 sites for global business news, many of which are sections of esteemed business publications (Financial Times, OECD Observer, The Economist)
•  "Regional News" links to 26 "regional" (continental) sites for Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East; also links to 130 sites for 70 countries (including 17 sites for the U.S.)
•  Most (but not all) sites are in English or sites which contain significant content in English
•  Annotations accompany each link
•  Outstanding; with over 190 sites, this webpage is one of the best places to begin research for international business news, because of the depth of its offerings and its excellent annotations


Local and Regional Business Periodicals on the Web

•  Although some links offer access to free material, many links are to a publication's home page, which provides information on fee-based subscriptions
