• Utilizing "… a large breadth of statistical, graphic,
and analytical data in easily accessible formats," this site provides
access to information and data on 10 topics of environmental interest,
including water resources, climate, demographics, energy, biodiversity
• Each topical area includes resources for the following: searchable
database (time series data from over 600 variables), country profiles
(over 220 countries), environmental maps, feature stories, data tables
• Target audiences include researchers, educators, students, government,
business, non-profits and the general public
• Statistical data sources are primarily from the United Nations,
research institutes, professional associations/organizations; sources
are identified
• Registration is required (but it's free!)
• Outstanding; does a fantastic job for environmental statistical
data for countries and the searchable databases; a "must"
