D. program in Educational Leadership, are available online through the "Current Research @ Johnson & Wales University" screen in a database from ProQuest/UMI. Search citations and abstracts and preview the first 24 pages of each J&W dissertation title published since 1999. Note: Authorized J&W users may download for free the full text of Johnson & Wales dissertations published since 1999. Most J&W resources will prompt you to type your first name, last name, and the 14-digit barcode number on your Johnson & Wales University I.D.  If you
are asked to use other login methods, please follow the instructions that are provided.

Current Research @ Johnson & Wales University Search for abstracts and citations of dissertations published by other graduate schools and universities (note access is limited to recent degree dates):
• Link to all other Current Research @ sites and browse the list of participating institutions by name or geographic location. Preview for free the first 24 pages of each dissertation published by a participating institution in 2003-2004 only.
• Link to Dissertations Abstracts to search for citations and abstracts of titles with a degree date of 2003 or 2004 only. The 24-page preview feature is not available.

Downloading Tips An authenticated J&W user may order a J&W dissertation online. You must enter your actual email address (it can either be your J&W email address ending in .edu or another provider such as Yahoo or Hotmail). Within 4 hours, you should receive an email containing the URL for the dissertation. Write down or print out both your Order ID and PIN numbers. These are large PDF files averaging 200 pages in length and require Adobe Acrobat Reader to open them. Downloading instructions are included within your email notice. The URL will be available for downloading in PDF format for 72 hours.

For downloading assistance, contact the vendor's (ProQuest/UMI) Technical Support 1-800-889-3358. Customers outside the U.S. or Canada should call 1-734-761-4700 x2513 or email as above. If you do not pick up the dissertation within 72 hours and your order has expired, you may reactivate your order by contacting Customer Support 1-800-521-0600 x7044 and giving them your PIN number.
