Access to Library Facilities
With presentation of a valid JWU Alumni card (available through the Alumni Relations Office), alumni are welcome to use the Providence Campus Library facilities for personal study and research activities.

Use of Library Computers
Each library facility maintains at least one computer terminal for users such as alumni who do not possess a university network login.  From that terminal, alumni have access to the Internet as well as to all proprietary online resources licensed to JWU Library.  (Those alumni who to use standard MS Office applications in the library must obtain a network login from the IT Department.)

Printing & Photocopying
While visiting either library facility, JWU alumni may ask at the reference desk for temporary use of a “guest printing pass.” Coin operated black and white or color photocopying is also available.

Borrowing of Library Materials
With presentation of a valid JWU Alumni card, alumni may borrow up to five JWU items at a time.  Books are loaned to alumni for an initial lending period of 28 days, and videos have an initial lending period of 14 days.  Loan periods may be extended on an item by item basis using the online renewal process available at My Library Account, or by calling the access services coordinator at (401) 598-1408.

Reference Services
JWU alumni may contact the library by phone, e-mail, instant messaging or texting to request professional research and reference assistance from JWU librarians.
Restrictions

  • At this time, off-campus access to proprietary online resources is not available to alumni
