Books Students may use their University ID to borrow non-reference and non-reserve books for a loan period of two weeks. Students may check out up to 3 books at a time (or 2 books and 1 video). Books may be renewed twice for a loan period of one additional week for each renewal. Renewals may be done in person, by phone, or by students directly (through the library's Library Catalog). Failure to return a book on time will result in a fine of $.50 per day; a minimum replacement fee of $50 along with an additional $20 service fee will be charged for each book lost (If the book is returned the replacement fee is waived but the student is still accountable for the service fee.). Videos The library has a growing collection of videos/DVDs. Students may search the Library Catalog on their own or with the assistance of a librarian for topics they may be interested in. A small portion of this collection is designated as reserve and may only be viewed in the library. The students may check out one video at a time from the remainder of the collection for a loan period of one week. Failure to return a video on time will result in a fine of $.50 per day; a minimum replacement fee of $50 along with an additional $20 service fee will be charged for each video lost (If the video is returned the replacement fee is waived but the student is still accountable for the service fee.). Magazines, Journals, & Newspapers Current information is available with access to approximately 170 paper subscriptions which include various magazines, journals, and newspapers. Back issues of some magazines and journals are also located in the rear of the library. Magazines, journals, and newspapers may not be checked out of the library. In addition to Internet access, the library also provides access to a wide variety of library databases. Students may print for free from the computer terminals in the library. The library, however, reserves the right to restrict printing to a reasonable amount of pages (generally less than 25 pages per print job).
